Therapy Informed Play

Our Therapy Informed Play programme has been designed for children with neurological conditions aged 0-4 years, their parents and other family members.

Therapy Informed Play aims to empower parents to integrate learning and therapeutic activities into their day-to-day family life, to support their child to acquire functional skills in all areas of their development.

Sessions are delivered by our highly skilled learning, therapy and care practitioners working collaboratively with our specialist occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and teachers, through small group play activities and opportunities for learning and practice. In addition families can access to our hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and accessible outdoor playground.

Therapy Informed Play is personalised to meet the needs of each child.  We work with parents to identify shared goals, taking into account their individual family circumstances.

What our parents have to say....
"I really like the support you are given and the fact it is parent led. I find at a lot of other therapies the therapist tends to overtake and it looks easy, then when you try, your totally lost, but here parents do the actual work."

Who can attend?

  • Children aged 0-3 years with a confirmed or suspected neurological condition and their parents resident in Scotland (accommodation is available on-site).

  • Their grandparents, other family members and regular care providers.
